Virginia Beach, Va. – Nearly 1,200 runners, joggers and walkers braved wind, rain, sand and mud as they got down and dirty Saturday at the 15th Annual ASYMCA Mud Run at JEB Little Creek-Fort Story.

This years event promised even more obstacles, challenges, running and of course mud. And it didn’t let its participants down. It was a morning of sweat, sand, climbing obstacles and pits of mud that got muddier as the runners trudged their way through the course.  Overall, they say it was a day of fun!

As a non-profit organization that helps junior military families with childcare, child development, spousal support and much more, ASYMCA’s Mud Run brings out the entire family every year with all proceeds going back to the organization.

Each year the ASYMCA gives adult runners an eight-kilometer, mud-slinging, heart-pumping course to conquer and a fun-filled but challenging Mini-Mud Run for children.
