5-4-3
That's how they score it when you turn one of the rarest feats in baseball - the triple play - and that's what the Norfolk Tides did last night.
It was the top of the 8th inning when Durham Bulls batter Luke Maila was up and hit a line drive to third.
Third baseman Michael Almanzer snags the line drive and steps on third for the first out. He then throws it over to Ray Navarro for the next out at second, and Navarro throws it to Christian Walker at first to pull off the triple play.
The Tides would go on to win three to one. The two teams play again tonight.
