Portsmouth, Va. – A man hit a home in the 40 block of Pollux Circle late Sunday morning leaving it uninhabitable.
According to Detective Misty Holley with Portsmouth Police, a silver vehicle struck a home in the 40 block of Pollux Circle around 11:40 a.m.
Police were looking for the driver who fled the scene, but shortly after they found him suffering from a medical emergency which caused him to crash his vehicle into the home. He had minor injuries to his hand as a result of the accident.
He did not receive charges for the accident but was summoned for driving with a suspended license.
The home was vacant and sustained enough damage that the Fire Marshal condemned the structure on scene.
