Wednesday’s VIPIR Forecast: Seasonal temperatures

Stretch of comfy temps… Temperatures will start in the upper 60s and low 70s this morning with highs in the mid 80s this afternoon. Highs will remain in the low to mid 80s for the rest of the work week and the weekend. Expect a mix of sun and clouds today with more sun to the north and more clouds to the south. An isolated shower or storm is possible as a cold front moves off of the coastline.

Rain chances will remain low for the end of the week but scattered showers/storms will return for Sunday.

Tropical Update

Tropical Storm Erika continues west toward the Leeward Islands. Erika is centered about 285 miles east of Antigua and moving west at 17 mph. The general west to WNW movement will continue for the next few days. The center of Erika will move near or over portions of the Leeward Islands tonight, near the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on Thursday, and near or just north of the Dominican Republic on Friday. Sustained winds are near 45 mph with higher gusts. Little change in strength is expected over the next 48 hours. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 105 miles from the center.
