Virginia Beach Oceanfront FunkFest
The State Farm FunkFest and Africana Virginia Beach return to the Oceanfront for a weekend full of heart and soul August 28-30. The FunkFest will feature free concerts on the beach at 24th Street on Friday and Saturday. You can expect local and national talent from Caribbean Steel, Rick Elliot, Butcher Brown Band, Fuzz Band, Elements Band, Good Life. CTAB Mega Hoops Classic
Ball is life this weekend at the 2015 Cross-Training Athletes into Believers Mega Hoops Classic as the “Best of the 757” take on each other in this daylong basketball tournament. CTAB strives to help encourage and support our younger generation in their upcoming school year endeavors. Not only will the event create an atmosphere of fun and excitement, but CTAB wants to provide school supplies and other necessities for youth who are unable to obtain the essential for a successful school year. Back to School Community Day
The Villa Heights Civic League along with the Legends Barber House present a Back to School Community Day Sunday from 2:00 p.m.- 8:00 o.m. at Church Street between 28th & 29th Street.
