Friday’s VIPIR Forecast: Cloudy but cool weekend

A cooler but cloudy and rainy weekend… We will start a nice cooling trend today. Highs will reach into the mid and upper 80s this afternoon. Highs will cool into the low 80s for Saturday and Sunday. Expect partly cloudy skies today with a few isolated showers possible tonight. We will see more clouds roll in for the weekend with scattered showers. Winds will also be increasing today. Expect windy conditions through the weekend.

Tropical Storm Fred continues in the eastern Atlantic. Fred is centered about 950 miles WNW of the Cape Verde Islands. Fred is moving west at 10 mph. Fred will continue to drift through the open waters of the Atlantic over the next few days. Sustained winds are near 40 mph. Fred is expected to weaken to a remnant low by tonight or Saturday
