Police looking for man who robbed a Shore Stop in Melfa

Melfa, Va. – The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office is trying to find the man who robbed a Shore Stop convenience store in Melfa.

It happened on September 3 around 9:30 p.m.

Deputies determined that the suspect is a black male dressed in a camouflage jacket and blue jeans.

He is described as a black male, between 5’6″ to 5’9″ with a slender build.

The suspect entered the store and robbed the clerk and a customer at gunpoint.

The suspect fired a gunshot in the store during the robbery, but there were no injuries.

He ran away from the scene with an unknown amount of money.

Police also believe that there is a second suspect involved.
