Portsmouth, Va. – A man has died after being shot early Sunday morning in Portsmouth.
Detectives have identified the victim as 60-year-old Ronald Lindsey of Chesapeake.
911 received a call about the shooting in the 1900 block of Victory Boulevard at 3:07am. When officers arrived they found Lindsey suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
On October 15, Portsmouth police arrested a 17-year-old in connection with the crime.
They charged the teenager with first degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
The investigation is still ongoing.
