Virginia Beach, Va. - Police in Virginia Beach need your help to solve two robberies. chartway 2 chartway 1

The Chartway Federal Credit Union on Ferrell Pkwy was robbed twice over the summer.

The first robbery happened at 9:44 a.m. on July 10.  The second one happened on August 29 around 10:25 a.m.

"No bank teller should have to go through that, so for the same bank to go through it in one summer is a little unusual and a big concern," said Det. C.M. Wilson.

Poilce say they believe the same man committed both robberies.  He's described as a black male in his mid to late 20s, 5'8" - 5'9", 170-180 pounds.  Witnesses also described him having a circular tattoo on the left side of his neck.

In the second robbery he was wearing a blue Kansas City Royals cap.

In both cases, he passed a note to the teller demanding money and implying he had a weapon.  After getting the cash, he ran behind the Food Lion Shopping Center toward Hiawatha Dr.

Police say he seems familiar with the area, so he may have lived nearby or knows people who do.

Now they need your help to find him.
