Wednesday’s VIPIR Forecast: Summer heat and storms

Hot and humid with storms… Highs will climb to near 90 his afternoon but it will feel more like the mid to upper 90s with the extra humidity. Expect partly sunny skies through the day with a chance for scattered showers/storms this afternoon and evening.

Several chances for showers and storms remain in the forecast for this week and the weekend. Our biggest threat for rain and storms will be on Thursday as a cold front moves through. The front will also bring in cooler temperatures for the weekend.

Today: Partly Sunny, Scattered Showers/Storms(30%). Highs near 90. Winds: S 5-10

Tonight: Partly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms(30%). Lows in the low 70s. Winds: S 5-10

Tomorrow: Partly Sunny, Showers/Storms(60%). Highs in the upper 80s. Winds: S/SW 5-10

Tropical Update

Grace continues westward as a tropical depression. Grace is expected to become a remnant low in the next day or two as it approaches the Leeward Islands.

Tropical Depression Eight has formed near Bermuda. TD 8 is about 200 miles ESE of Bermuda. It is stationary now but is expect to start moving north today. Slow strengthening is expected and it could become Tropical Storm Henri later today.
