Dominic’s VIPIR Forecast: Tracking showers, storms and cooler temps

Posted

Tracking showers, storms and cooler temps....We are keeping an eye on a cold front that will stall near the area over the next few days. This setup will give us several chances of showers and storms, even through the weekend. But first, on this Thursday evening, expect scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of the rain could be heavy at times. Otherwise, we'll see mostly cloudy skies with overnight low temperatures in the lower 70s.

On Friday, as the front sags to the south a bit, we won't see as much rain. Still, we're going to keep a slight chance of a shower or storm in the forecast, especially over Southside and NE North Carolina. Partly sunny skies will be with us otherwise with high temperatures in the mid 80s.

Rain chances will go back up on Saturday as an area of low pressure moves north along the front. A few storms are possible, too. Highs will be in the mid 80s. A few showers will stick around for part of Sunday before drier weather moves in on Monday.

Tonight: Mostly Cloudy. Scattered Showers/Storms (50-60%). Low temperatures in the low 70s. Winds: W 5-10 mph.

Friday: Partly Cloudy. Isolated Shower/Storms Possible (20%). High temperatures in the mid 80s. Winds: NW 5-10 mph.

Saturday: Partly Sunny. Scattered Showers/Storms (50%). High temperatures in the mid 80s. Winds: NW 5-10 mph.
