Norfolk, Va. -- With a candlelight vigil, family and friends honored a 19-year old, who was killed on Wednesday.

On Friday night, dozens came to the spot where Coraun Poole was shot on Leicester Avenue with candles. They shared stories and sang in tribute to Poole. "I have unanswered questions as to what happened, why it happened," said Kandie Poole, Coraun's mom.

Poole and another man were shot Wednesday afternoon. The other man survived. Police haven't explained exactly what happened, but neighbors say Poole was ambushed and then left to die. "He wasn't a gangster or a thug or what they might think," said Vivette Williams, a cousin.

Some of the speakers called for an end to gun violence, but mostly it was a chance to grieve. Family members say they just miss their cousin, son, and friend. "Being that one our younger generations is not here is a blow because we're so close knit," said Williams.
