Man in Spider Man mask robs Newport News Subway

Newport News, Va. - A man wearing a Spider Man mask robbed the Subway in the 700 block of J. Clyde Morris Blvd. early Saturday morning.

Police received a call about the robbery at 12:29 AM.

A black man with a black and red backpack, wearing a spider man mask and armed with a handgun demanded money from the two  employees that were working.

There were no customers inside at the time.

The suspect was approximately 5'10, 170 lbs, wearing blue jeans, brown boots, and dark gloves.  He left through the back door with an undisclosed amount of money.

There were no reported injuries as a result of the robbery.
