Robbery Fail: Man attempts to rob gas station, finds empty register

Suffolk, Va.- A man attempted to rob a  Kangaroo Express gas station early Wednesday morning but came up empty handed.

An employee called police to the station located in the 800 block of West Washington Street in Downtown Suffolk around 3:25 am. The man entered the store with a bandanna covering his face, pulled out a gun and asked for money from the register. When he found it was empty, he ran away.

Police are searching for a black male under the age of 21 between 5'3" and 5'5" 135 pounds. He was wearing a green hoodie, jeans and a camouflage bandanna. The employee also described the man as having peeling skin on his forehead.
