Our weather will remain unsettled through the weekend, courtesy of a slow-moving area of low pressure to our south. Today, we’re expect mostly cloudy skies with a good chance of scattered showers. Some of the rain could be heavy by afternoon and evening. High temperatures will be in the mid 70s.

Tonight, scattered showers are likely. Lows will be in the upper 60s. Winds will also be breezy again from the east-northeast between 10 and 20 mph, with higher gusts, which could cause some minor flooding around high tide today (around 7:35 pm at Sewells Point).
On Saturday and Sunday, low pressure will slowly move across or near our area, giving way to on and off showers. Some of the rain could be heavy at times. Tidal flooding and high surf will continue to be problems this weekend as wind speeds increase. High temperatures will be in the mid 70s. Conditions will gradually improve as we move through next week.
