Norfolk, Va. – St. Jude’s Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer will still take place at the Norfolk Botanical Garden, despite storms headed towards Hampton
Roads on Sunday.
Thousands of people are set to participate in the event, which benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospitals.
The event supports the hospital’s mission, where no family will receive a bill for medical treatment, traveling, housing or food.
Registration is $10 for adults and children ages six and up.
The event includes a scenic 5K, family friendly activities, and entertainment.
St. Jude would like participants to take action and raise money for the cause.
Participants that raise $100 will receive an official event t-shirt and participants that raise $250 or more will become members of St. Jude’s Fearless Fundraiser Club and earn additional St. Jude gifts as they fundraise.
If you would like to make a donation, volunteer or register, you may visit stjude.org/walkrun.
