Monday’s VIPIR Forecast: More flooding possible

***A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for most of Hampton Roads and the Outer Banks. Expect minor flooding at times of high tide. High tide will be near 8 AM for Duck and Nags Head and 9 AM to 10 AM for most of Hampton Roads.

More showers, wind and flooding… We are still tracking the area of low pressure near Hatteras. Expect mostly cloudy skies with some sunshine mixing in. We will see scattered showers today, with our highest rain chances in the afternoon. It will still be windy with winds near the coast at 10 to 20 mph. Expect minor tidal flooding at times of high tide (near 9 AM to 10 AM). A mix of clouds and scattered showers will continue for the next several days but winds should begin to relax. Highs will reach into the low 80s early this week and slide into the 70s for the second half of the week and weekend.

Tropical Update

Tropical Depression Eleven has formed between Bermuda and the Bahamas. TD 11 is centered about 675 miles SW of Bermuda and moving slowly west at 2 mph. This system is poorly organized now but is expected to gain strength over the next few days and could become a tropical storm by Tuesday.
