Hampton, Va. – Hampton Police tweeted they were on scene attempting to issue a warrant that caused the roadway to be shut down in the 1st block of E. Kelly Avenue around 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
SPO Ashley Jenrette with Hampton Police advised us that officers were dispatched to the area for a domestic assault at 8:48 a.m.
She says officers were advised there could potentially be a wanted subject in the residence. As a precautionary measure, SWAT crews aided Police during their response. Subsequently, no wanted subject was found and the scene was cleared shortly there after.
The roadway has since reopened.
