Dare County, NC – The search is on for a man who assaulted a woman and then tried to abduct her while she was jogging in Dare County.
The incident was reported on October 1st, 2015. A woman told authorities that while she was jogging along a bike path on I-64/264 North of Pearce Road, Roanoke Island, she was attacked by a strange man.
She says she was hit in the head and then the man tried to pull her into the woods.
Deputies went out to the scene but were unable to find anyone matching the description given. Very few details were released regarding the suspect’s appearance.
