Two arrested on heroin charges after Kill Devil Hills traffic stop

Kill Devil Hills, N.C. – Two men were arrested on heroin charges in a September 29th traffic stop in Kill Devil Hills.

Members of the Dare County Narcotics Task Force conducted a traffic stop on the two, who were suspected of bringing heroin from Virginia to Dare County to distribute.

During the traffic stop, Task Force officers seized heroin from their vehicle.

54-year-old Mark Alan Thompson of Kill Devil Hills was charged with Felony Possession with the intent to Sale/Deliver Heroin and Felony Maintaining a vehicle. Thompson is being held in lieu of a $20,000 secured bond at the Dare County Detention Center.

47-year-old Paul Francis Hill of Kill Devil Hills was charged with Felony Possession with the intent to Sale/Deliver Heroin. He was released on a $5,000 secured bond.

The Dare County Narcotics Task Force is made up of the Dare County Sheriff’s Office, Nags Head Police Department, Kill Devil Hills Police Department, Kitty Hawk Police Department, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations and North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement.
