Virginia Beach, Va.- On Tuesday, the Coast Guard received a request to medically evacuate a woman from her Brazilian cruise ship near Virginia Beach.
The 30-year-old was reportedly suffering from abdominal pain.
She was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, along with a ship’s nurse, by helicopter.
The ship, named Norwegian Breakway, was located 165 miles east of Virginia Beach.
The woman is now stable.
