Newport News, Va. – A teen is recovering after he was shot in the leg during a robbery in Newport News.
This happened on Thursday afternoon in the 1900 block of 25th Street.
When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old male inside of the Illest Cutz Barber Shop suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police say two teens were in front of the barber shop when someone approached them. They say the man took out a handgun and robbed them. One of the teens was shot.
He was taken to the hospital with a non life threatening injury.
