Portsmouth, Va. – Interstate 264 east and westbound will be closed between Frederick Boulevard and Effingham Street from 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13th to 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 14th.
During the closure, crews with the Elizabeth River Tunnels Project will pour the concrete bridge deck for the new Martin Luther King Extension.
An eastbound detour and westbound detour will be in place to direct motorists around the closure. Ramps leading to the interstate between those two exits will also be closed during this time.
