Chesapeake, Va. – Police are investigating after a 57-year-old man was struck by an SUV at the intersection of Campostella Rd. and Liberty St. Friday morning.
The accident happened at 10:10 a.m. as the man was crossing the road. The dark-colored SUV fled the scene.
The victim was identified as Milford Watson of Norfolk.
Police say they’ve charged 25-year-old Margueana Adams. She has been charged with hit and run, failure to yield right of way to pedestrian at an intersection, suspended operators license 3rd offense, no seat belt, failure to restrain a child in a car seat, and expired inspection.
Watson was taken to Norfolk General Hospital with possible life-threatening injuries. Police located the vehicle and suspect during the course of the investigation.
