Chesapeake, Va. – Crews had to close the east exit ramp on US-58 east on Monday after a tractor trailer was involved in an accident.
Officials have not released many details about how the accident happened. They say it occurred on the I-664 ramp/US-58 ramp 478 B to route 664 west.
There is not hazardous material on the road.
Laurie Simmons with VDOT says the tractor trailer separated from the cab and crews are working to clear the scene.
There’s no estimate on when the ramp will reopen. No detours are in place right now.
