UPDATE: Police have now charged 49-year-old Willie Smith for the murder of Angelina Williams.

He's been charged with 1st degree murder and burglary with the intent to commit murder.

He is now in police custody.

Hampton, Va. - Police have identified a woman found dead in a Hampton neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon.

Angelina Williams, 46, was found in the first block of Treebark Place.

According to police, Williams was found by her 16-year-old son with cuts all over her body.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are labeling the case as a homicide.

The investigation shows that the homicide appears to be domestic related and that the suspect and Williams knew one another.

Nadeen Yanes talks with one of Williams' longtime friends, Earl Jones.

"For a 16-year-old to just come home from school and walk into that...sorry for him. I feel really sorry for him." Jones said. "I pray for him and for her for that matter because it's a tragedy."

Jones, who worked at Costco with Williams, says "Angie" was one of the nicest people he knew.

"I just I don't understand it, you know? She was like, one of the most beautiful people in the world," Jones said. "It's just amazing to me that somebody could have--I don't know--whatever emotion they had when they did that...it's amazing to me that they could have that kind of emotion towards her.  She was so nice, a beautiful person."

Police say they do not have a suspect in custody and have not questioned anyone yet.

Additional information will be released as the investigation continues.
