Norfolk, Va. - Police were involved in a chase that led them from the highway onto Norfolk streets early Thursday morning.
Emergency dispatchers say crews were attempting to pull over a driver for reckless driving shortly after 2:00 a.m. when the driver refused to stop.
A pursuit ensued taking crews off the highway onto 4th View and W. Ocean View Avenue.
The vehicle crashed around 2:30 a.m. near the Southern Shopping Center at Tidewater Drive and E. Little Creek Road and the driver took off running.
Police tell NewsChannel 3 they were able to take one person into custody but they never found the driver.
