Suffolk police investigating Exxon armed robbery

Suffolk, Va. – Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Exxon in downtown Suffolk.

Police say that they received a call about the robbery around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.

A clerk told police that the suspect entered the store, showed his handgun and demanded money.

The suspect ran away after getting the cash and may have left the scene in a black vehicle.

The clerk was not injured in this incident.

The suspect was described as a black male around 5’11” and 160 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, gray sweatpants and brown work boots.  His face was covered by a silver colored shirt.
