Suffolk, Va. – The Suffolk Education Foundation has announced its new Executive Director. Detroit native, Renyatta L. Banks is now at the forefront of the organization.
Holding more than 15 years of experience, Renyatta was found to be most suitable for the job.
With an earned degree in Public Affairs, Banks has worked for both corporate and non-profit organizations. With a track record of delivering results, she has also served as a development director for several agencies.
The Wayne State graduate was introduced to the foundation’s board of directors back in September. Banks was held in high regard by the chair of the foundation’s board of directors, Jennifer Schmack.
“She is a wonderful hire as SEF’s next Executive Director because she has the knowledge, skills, experience, passion and commitment to lead SEF into the future,” says Schmack.
Over the years, the Suffolk Education Foundation has raised over $300,000 in scholarships. The mission of the foundation is to support Suffolk Public Schools by expanding educational opportunities for staff and students.
