Hampton, Va. - San Diego police shoot and kill a man wanted for armed robbery in Hampton.

San Diego police say Lamontez Jones pulled a gun on two officers when they tried to stop him from interfering with traffic.

According to Fox5sandiego.com, he took off running and officers chased him through the busy gaslight district.

Police say Jones pulled a gun on them and they shot him several times.

Jones was taken to the hospital but didn't survive.

Both officers were wearing body cameras, but they weren't turned on during the shooting.

The police chief said the officers fired in self defense.
