PROVO, Utah — A couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary by playing the theme from Up as a piano duet and a tribute to Carl and Ellie from the Pixar film.
Pianist Jason Lyle Black wrote a musical arrangement for his grandparents, who have been playing piano duets for decades.
Black wrote:
The video is a homage to Up, featuring the tennis-ball cane, the “Adventure Book,” and even a “Squirrel!” reaction from the family dog. Most of all, the feeling of loyalty between Grandpa and Grandma is evident throughout the entire video. Black makes a brief cameo in the end of the video, clad in a “Wilderness Explorer” uniform, like Russell from UP.
