Newport News, Va. – A driver was hospitalized after a crash with a Newport News Police pickup truck Thursday afternoon.
The accident happened in the 9300 block of Pocahontas Trail at 12:30pm.
Newport News officials say that a police aide was driving the pickup when they were involved in the crash.
The aide was not injured in the accident, while the other driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash is being investigated by the State Police because it occurred just inside James City County.
