Update: Poquoson woman dies after Sunday morning crash

Update: According to State Police, no charges have been filed against Kendra Lyn Seely.

Poquoson, Va. – State Police say Lisa Maria Rubi, 32, of the 100 block of Bunting Lane in Poquoson, died early Sunday morning after the vehicle she was riding in crashed in the 200 block of Little Florida Road near Far Street in Poquoson.

Rubi was riding in a 2000 Toyota Tundra, driven by Kendra Lyn Seely, that was travelling eastbound in the 200 block of Little Florida Road around 2:30 a.m. when Seely ran off the road and struck a drainage culvert, according to State Police preliminary investigations. Rubi, who was not wearing a seat belt, struck the windshield and was thrown to the back of the vehicle.

Sergeant Michele Anaya says Rubi was taken to Riverside Hospital in Newport News where she later died.
