Williamsburg, Va. - Five people are now facing charges in connection to the rape of a 16-year-old girl.
The arrests come about four months after police first started investigating.
Williamsburg Police say they were notified of the assault in the early morning hours of June 9th.
The victim reported that earlier in the evening, she was with friends at Quarterpath Park and walked into a wooded area with a boy. She says several boys surrounded her and she was sexually assaulted by two of them while another recorded the incident on a cell phone.
Investigators have been able to identify all of the involved suspects, which includes the victim's friend.
Four of the suspects are teens, three are 16 and one is 15. Two of them were charged with Rape and Possession of Child Pornography. A third teenager was charged with one count each of Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography. The fourth teenager was charged with two counts of Accessory Before the Fact for Rape and Possession of Child Pornography.
The fifth person has been identified as 20-year-old Korey Alexander Gemmiti of James City County. Police say he is the person who recorded the assault with his cell phone. He has been charged with one count of Production of Child Pornography, three counts of Distribution of Child Pornography and one count of Possession of Child Pornography.
Gemmiti was arrested Monday without incident and transported to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail where he is being held without bond.
