Police looking for man accused of hitting 1-year-old with SUV, driving away from scene

Virginia Beach, Va. – Police need your help identifying a man who they say hit a 1-year-old with a SUV and sped off.

On October 19 at around 5:30 p.m., an older gray SUV hit the child on Holland Drive near a trailer park.

The suspect’s vehicle did not stop after it hit the child and sped away from the scene.

The driver is described as a possibly Hispanic or Indian male with dark, short hair wearing a white t-shirt. Witnesses say there was a heavyset white woman in the passenger seat.

Police say that the vehicle has been seen in the trailer park before this incident and the driver may have been a previous resident.

The child had serious but non-life threatening injuries.
