ONLY ON 3: Surveillance video shows how robbery unfolds in Hampton

Hampton, Va. - Police need your help finding a suspect in connection with an armed robbery that happened on Friday.

It happened at the PC Doctors on North King Road around 2:30 p.m.

Police say the suspect came into the store, showed employee Lamont Payne a gun and demanded money.

"Being that it was close to Halloween and the voice kind of sounded familiar, I thought it was a joke," Payne told only NewsChannel 3. "Until he pointed something at me, I was like 'oh, okay this is for real."

Payne says he went to the back to where the cash register was located and the robber followed him, the entire time the gun was inches from Payne's face.

"My heart was pounding," Payne said. "Of course I'm thinking I'm about to die."

Payne says after he gave the suspect the money, the suspect ran away. Now he's asking you to Take Action Against Crime.

"I definitely want him caught," Payne added.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 6'0-6'2" and around 185 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a black knit hat, red banadan covering his face, a long sleeved blue thermal shirt and dark jeans.
