Monday’s VIPIR Forecast: A rain soaked start to the week

Widespread rain… Expect overcast skies and rain throughout the day. Most of the rain will be moderate with heavy rainfall pockets at times. Rainfall totals could top 2” in NC, 1” on the Southside, and less than 1” on the Peninsulas and Eastern Shore. Temperatures will hold steady in the low to mid 60s today with NE winds increasing this afternoon. Clouds and rain showers will continue overnight and into Tuesday. Rain will be more scattered tomorrow with lower rainfall totals. Rain chances will taper for midweek with some sunshine mixing in with the clouds. Highs will warm into the low and mid 70s for the second half of the work week.
