Norfolk, Va. – A Norfolk man will now spend 200 months behind bars for dealing heroin and possessing a gun as a convicted felon.

Clinton Martez Alston, 27, pleaded guilty to both charges on June 30.

Court documents say that Norfolk Police arrested Alston in August 2014 after he tried to sell heroin to a confidential informant.

The documents also say police searched the car Alston was in and found a handgun, 87 capsules of heroin, a small amount of cocaine and a small amount of crack cocaine.

Alston has previous felony convictions for robbery and carjacking.
