Crime Line tip leads to crack cocaine bust in Kitty Hawk

Kitty Hawk, NC – A 51-year-old man has been arrested on drug charges in Kitty Hawk thanks to a crime line tip.

The Dare County Sheriff’s Office says the Narcotics Task Force got the tip in reference to someone selling crack cocaine from a local motel.

The Task Force was able to identify the suspect and approach him in the parking lot of the Black Pelican restaurant parking lot.

Philip Matthew Toister was arrested and charged with felony Possession with the Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine. Police seized an amount of US currency and approximately 46 bags of Crack Cocaine from him during the arrest.

Following Toister’s arrest, the Kitty Hawk Police Department and Nags Head Police Department K9s assisted in a search warrant execution on his hotel room at the Buccaneer Motel.

Other charges may be pending.
