VIPIR Forecast: Tracking showers, storms and cooler temps for your weekend

Posted

Cold front brings showers, storms and cooler temps….As we move through our Thursday night, a few isolated showers are possible. Otherwise, we’ll see mostly cloudy skies with areas of fog. Low temperatures will be in the mid 60s. Some of us will wake up to patchy fog on our Friday morning. But as we go through the day, we’ll enjoy a mix of sun and clouds.  It will feel a lot like spring as high temperatures climb into the lower 80s!  Enjoy the warmth because as a cold front sweeps through this weekend, we’re going to be cooling down.

Let’s talk about Saturday. You’ll need to stay VIPIReady! An approaching cold front from the west will bring a good chance of rain and possibly a few thunderstorms during the day as the front runs into some relatively warm, humid air. As the front sweeps through, highs will cool into the lower 70s. While a few lingering showers are possible early Sunday morning, drier weather will move in by afternoon. Highs will cool into the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Tonight: Mostly Cloudy.  Isolated Showers (20%). Areas of Fog. Low temperatures in the mid 60s. Winds: SW 5-10 mph.

Friday: Patchy AM Fog. Then, Sun and Clouds. Most areas dry. High temperatures near 80. Winds: SW 10-20 mph.
