Police: Man seriously injured in afternoon shooting in Norfolk

Norfolk, Va. – Police are investigating a shooting that left a 45-year-old man with serious injuries.

Officers received reports of a man who had been shot in the 900 block of West 31st Street, near Morton Avenue, around 3:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

A 45-year-old man was found outside suffering from a gunshot wound.

Witnesses tell NewsChannel 3 that the shooting was a result of the victim telling someone to get off of his property.

Medics transported the victim to Sentara Norfolk General with serious injuries.
