Police looking for barber shop robbery suspect

Newport News, Va. – Police need your help investigating the robbery of a barber shop.

Officers responded to a call about a robbery on Hiden Boulevard around 10:30 a.m. on November 12.

Authorities spoke to the owner, who says a man entered the shop, pulled out a hunting knife and demanded money.

After the owner gave the him the money, the suspect ran into the woods behind the shopping center.

Police describe the suspect as a white man who is about 5’8″ with an average build.  He was wearing a dark long sweater and dark pants with either a black or green wool ski mask.
