Suffolk, Va. – A Franklin woman faces multiple charges after she was stopped by an officer for failure to control her vehicle.
Police discovered that 28-year-old Jessica Marie Johns had her 4-year-old son in the backseat of her car at the time of the incident.
Johns was taken to Sentara Obici Hospital before being arrested on driving while under the influence of drugs, child endangerment, child abuse and reckless driving.
Child Protective Services was notified of the situation and the child has been placed in the care of a family member.
