Norfolk car dealership added to military off-limits list

Norfolk, Va. – Carafello’s Auto Sales, LLC, located at 6328 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., has been placed off-limits to all service members in the Hampton Roads area by the Joint Armed Forces Disciplinary Control Board (JAFDCB) for Southeastern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina.

The business was placed off limits by Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic as of November 12th, 2015.

It was placed on the list due to the establishment’s participation in bird-dogging.

Bird-dogging occurs when someone refers a prospective customer to a particular dealership or salesman for a given fee or compensation. Virginia law states only salespersons licensed to a dealership can assist customers with a purchase of a vehicle.
