Newport News, Va. – A portion of Chestnut Avenue has been temporarily closed at 28th Street after a large shed caught fire on Monday.
Newport News Fire Department tweeted that they were on their way to a house fire at 28th Street and Chestnut Avenue around 4:00 p.m.
Firefighters got the fire under control, but are still working to extinguish hot spots.
No injuries were reported.
