Chesapeake, Va. – A late night altercation left one person in the hospital suffering from a stab wound and another behind bars on several charges.

According to a release sent by Chesapeake Police officials, officers were called to the 1400 block of Tinturn St. shortly before midnight for a disorderly person or persons.

Preliminary investigations show the victim was trying to intervene when stabbed. Medics transported the victim to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
