Portsmouth, Va. – Tidewater Community College Students received an email on Wednesday about someone who made online threats against the school.
Officials say they received information about the threat that a poster made on a website mentioning “Tidewater Community College” and “Portsmouth.”
The information has been turned over to Virginia State Police and the City of Portsmouth Police Department.
They do not believe there is any imminent threat, but they are taking additional security measures.
They are asking all students, staff, and guests if they see anything suspicious to report it to campus police.
No other details have been released.
