Suffolk, Va. – A fire forced a family of five out of their Suffolk home early Wednesday morning, according to Suffolk Fire & Rescue.
Crews responded to the one-story ranch home in the 2500 block of Whaleyville Boulecard around 1:30 a.m.
Firefighters say smoke was coming from the roof when they arrived. The family of five — three adults and two children, had evacuated before fire crews arrived.
Suffolk Fire & Rescue says the fire was contained to one room and was electrical in nature.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury but was treated on scene.
