Virginia Beach, Va. – An inventory specialist for the Communications and Information Technology was arrested for embezzlement in early November.

A Virginia Beach City Auditor contacted the Virginia Beach Police Department’s Economic Crime Unit about an employee thought to have taken city property.
After conducting additional audits, 30-year-old John Wesley White was arrested on December 2.
White was taken to the Virginia Beach Correctional Center and was later released on bond.
White is no longer employed with the City of Virginia Beach, according to city officials.
The case is still under investigation.
