Virginia Beach, Va. – A program from the Christmas SPIRIT foundation, along with FedEx is celebrating its 11th year of delivering Christmas trees to military families and troops.

Trees for Troops delivers around 17,000 real, fresh cut Christmas trees to over 60 military bases throughout the United States and overseas.  Around 300 trees are shipped overseas for troops in the Middle East.

Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story will receive around 350 on December 2 to give to junior enilisted military families on a first-come-first-served basis. The trees will be available to all active duty personnel and their families starting December 4.

The distribution will begin at 12:00 a.m. at the Sandpiper Recreation Center at JEB Fort Story.  The lot hours are 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
